Personal Injury Care

Be sure to see us if you’ve been in a car accident.

If you don’t have any broken bones, the hospital will say you’re fine. You’ll get some drugs for the pain.

But muscle and soft tissue damage may not show up for weeks or months. Eventually the loss of proper spinal alignment takes its toll.

Just because your car sustained little damage, it doesn’t mean you didn’t. Even a fender bender transfers tremendous energy to your body.

Since it can take time for symptoms to appear, car accidents are often forgotten as the cause of:

Chronic neck and back pain. Do you rely on over the counter medications? Something stronger? Consider a chiropractic evaluation.

Ringing in the ears. It’s also known as tinnitus. It may be an annoying buzzing, roaring or hissing sound. Often it can be traced to structural trauma to the neck.

Reverse cervical curve. This is a common effect of whiplash injuries. Loss of curve can stretch the spinal cord. This can often result in headaches and migraines.

Inflammation and muscle spasms. Many low back conditions are reactions to whiplash injuries.

Numbness and tingling in hands and wrists. Spinal problems in the neck can affect nerves going to the elbows, wrists and hands.

Vertigo and dizziness. We often see this when the uppermost spinal bone is no longer centered under the head. This can compromise the equilibrium of the inner ear.

Irritability. Depression and other emotional conditions can often be traced back to structural and neurological compromise from a traumatic injury.

If you’ve been in a car accident, a slip and fall or suffered a workplace injury we will conduct a thorough examination. This will include a physical, orthopedic, neurological and chiropractic work up.

Many patients mention that it’s the most complete examination that they’ve ever had.

Our chiropractors will capture the objective findings and produce the documentation needed for filing the appropriate insurance claims.

We work with most automobile insurance carriers. Be sure to bring a copy of your accident report, your insurance card and photo ID. Bring a claim number, either from your carrier or the other driver’s carrier.

Unfortunately, personal injuries often require legal involvement. We work with many attorneys and are happy to appear as an expert witness in court. We’ll try to make the process as seamless as possible.

That way you can focus on getting well.
