Dr Henry has more than 20 years of experience. Growing up in a family of medical practitioners, Dr Henry knew it was only a matter of time before he found a similar calling. Motivated by his parents, who were medical professionals, upon seeing their long-standing relationships with patients, it became clear that dentistry was his perfect career choice. In addition to being a “people person”, Dr Henry enjoys being able to “build” beautiful smiles for patients – he’s extremely hands-on in crafting crowns, implants and veneers.

Dr Henry is fluent in English, Cantonese and Mandarin.

An Education in Dentistry

Dr Henry attended the renowned University of Otago, where he received his Bachelor of Dental Surgery in 2003. He also received his postgraduate qualifications in Orthodontic Dentistry in 2013. In 2015, he earned a Master of Implant Dentistry from Griffith University. With a lifelong passion for learning and 20 years of dental experience, he continues taking professional development courses to provide his patients with the best care.

He has completed courses on advanced endodontic training, pinhole dentistry, periodontics and Invisalign treatment. Dr Henry is a member of the Australian Dental Association, American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, Australian Prosthodontic Society, and International College of Continuing Dental Education Fellowship.

Dr Henry is only one of a few dental surgeons qualified in Queensland to perform the revolutionary Chao Pinhole Surgical Gum Rejuvenation Technique.

Outside of the Practice

When Dr Henry isn’t helping patients achieve the smile of their dreams at work, he enjoys spending time cooking, reading, and building models.

2018 – Completed training in Relative Analgesia (Nitrous Oxide Sedation); Botox, Dermal Filler & Skincare with the Australasian Academy of Dento-Facial Aesthetics (AADFA); licence for extra oral radiography & cone beam; and advanced dental implant courses in bone grafting, sinus grafting, full arch rehabilitation, advanced sinus augmentation, and surgical complications in oral implantology

Whilst he enjoys all aspects of dentistry, Dr Henry finds cosmetic dentistry particularly rewarding because he’s always loved building things. He is passionate about crafting beautiful smiles for patients with the following services:

• Smile makeovers - Through a smile makeover, Dr Henry will reconstruct the patient’s teeth to where they should be and what will look best. As part of the smile makeover, he will assess the face and bone relationship to determine the “missing pieces” and then craft a customised treatment plan.
• Teeth whitening – Turn tarnished teeth into gorgeous pearly whites with two brightening options: Take-Home Tray Teeth Whitening and Zoom! In-Chair Teeth Whitening.
• Veneers - If you’d like to significantly change the shape and colour of your smile, getting veneers is an excellent choice.
